The Colombian striker has decided to close his chapter at AS Monaco and there are two possible options: either he joins Turkish side Galatasaray, or he returns to FC Porto.
After an underwhelming season in Monaco, that saw the French club battling relegation, Falcao seems done with his time in Monaco. Though he wasn’t at his peak anyway, ‘El Tigre’ still scored 15 goals in Ligue 1.
Now he will choose where to go in the the last years of his career. Galatasaray seems the most interested in the Colombian, but there is also a possibility of a return to FC Porto, where Falcao won the Europa League in 2011.
According to French portal Le10Sport Falcao would be eager to come back to where he started his career in Europe, when he was part of a squad that consisted also of Hulk and James Rodriguez. However, his high salary might be an obstacle for the blue Dragons, who are quite packed in the forward position, having signed Cape Verdean striker Ze Luis already.
Meanwhile L’Equipe assures that Radamel is on his way to Istambul. Galatasaray has approached the former Chelsea and Manchester United player and since he is keen to continue playing in Europe, he has allegedly entered negotiations with the Turkish club.
Nothing is decided yet, but Falcao still seems like he could be an asset for any of these teams. Falcao scored 271 goals in his career. His passage in England was definitely a nightmare, but he is still considered an idol in Porto and Atletico Madrid, where he scored 72 and 70 goals, respectively.
